Lizzy's Graduation Day

A big day has come for us! Lizzy had her Pre-K graduation from Calvary on Friday and it was super cute and sweet. They all came out in their little matching caps and t-shirts, marched all the way up onto the stage and did a little variety show of music for us...mom said that Seabreeze High graduated their class of 400 in less time than this production, sadly true, but it was super sweet.

Not sure I love the pose, but what a sweet picture.  On her left is Tiden (her love) they share a birthday and she has declared their marriage already.  He takes it really well.  On her right is Adrianna.  They hit it off about half way through the year and just love each other.

This brings me to the only performance mom and I managed to record.  This is the Florida Alphabet which I had never heard before.  I put the lyrics below so you can understand what they say.  Lizzy is the second yellow kid from the left.  I'm sorry we couldn't get any closer.  There are more pictures after the lyrics.

A a alligator
B b boat
C c conch shells, they don't float
D d dolphin, swimming oh so fast
E e everglades, sea of grass
F f fishin' in the
G g gulf
H h heron with a fish in his mouth
I i itch, from mosquito bite
J j jellyfish, what a sight
K k key deer, almost extinct
L l lobster, tasty I think
M m manatee, gentle and slow
N n Naples, where the old folks go...
O o Osceola, Indian Chief
P p Pennekamp, coral reef
Q q quarter moon, time to sail
R r raccoon, with a long ringed tail
S s suntan, on a winter's day
T t turtle, floating on the bay
U u umbrella, always in reach...
V v vroom at Daytona Beach
W w waterspout, off the coast
X x eXtra juicy clams you can roast
Y y yellowfly, ouch that stings
Z z Zephyrhills, famous springs!

I took a video of Lizzy walking to get her diploma and a man walked right in front of her the entire time so I only have our still photos that Lew took.
This is Lizzy and her awesome teachers, Chalet and Sondra.  They had such a great sense of humor to get through the day to day stuff of 5 yr old  drama.
Lizzy and Julie.  They are just the best of buddies.  So glad they got to go through Pre K together.

After the graduation we had some ice cream and visited with friends, but this mostly sums up how Anna Kate felt about it.  This is the "Independent Baby".  Don't try to help her do anything.  Look like a bad parent while she struggles to do whatever task is at hand, but please don't touch her.  The response is a shrieking howler monkey "I GOT IT!!!!"

When the girls became TV (commercial) stars

I have to apologize for the long absence of posting...I have had the worst cold which turned into a sinus infection which made me completely uninterested in everything.  Then the following photos were taken only on Grandma's iphone (forgot my camera). The first time I tried to send them to me, it sent the same photo 10 times so I had to have mom resend the entire batch, but it worked the second time around.

The girls and White Grandma were recently asked to make an appearance in a commercial for Florida Hospital.  It was just them running across the living room into Grandma's arms but it was really cool and was the full deal, hair and makeup, rolling camera while they ran, lights...we had fun.

A shot of the room with lights up

Aunt Erin aka Work Erin with Elizabeth.
Lizzy loves her some Aunt Erin, she always talks about her for days afterwards.  She's about at celebrity status in our house.

White Grandma having hair and make up done...

While waiting for lights and cameras to be adjusted and Grandma's turn getting hair and make up, the girls entertained themselves with a 25 year old playmobile cowboys and indians playset.  I do think I know what is coming at Christmas time, they loved it.

More of Grandma getting the full treatment

The finished product...so chic

Elizabeth's turn getting hair fixed.  They opted for pig tails to get the full little girl effect.

Anna Kate was ready for her turn but waited patiently

The most exciting part for the girls was definitely the make up.  They were getting lip gloss applied.  I love Irene (hair and makeup guru, she does some big time shows that tape in Orlando) but she's so cute puckering up.

Anna Kate's pucker...following good instruction from Irene.

The girls started on one side of the room while the camera was on a rolling platform and followed them as they ran across the living room.

Anna Kate's blush moment.

Anna Kate at the finish mark...Grandma's arms.

Every great actress has a diva moment.  Anna Kate had a DI-VA moment, they entire crew was trying to turn her around and only when I said she had sit and watch if she was going to cry, she turned it off and was normal...again a total actress.

All in all the entire morning was fun, special and a completely new experience.  Hopefully the commercial will be done by next week and I'll get a copy to post.
I think it's only 30 seconds but still they get to be on TV!! :)

Final Easter Weekend events

As our final Easter Weekend event, we visited with David and Mandy at the campground on the beach which was awesome!!  We were at Gamble Rogers campsite with ocean front property  http://www.floridastateparks.org/gamblerogers/default.cfm  The link will show you some pictures of what it looks like in the daytime.  The great part is that they do camping without feeling too campy, there were plenty of comfy homelike things going on.  The girls loved the campfire and roasting marshmellows.  Anna Kate almost stuck her head in a bag of gaucamole chips and pretty much ate those for dinner.
I wish had more pictures but this is it, we played for a few hours at the beach, ate dinner and had good drinks and really just relaxed.  It was as I said awesome, I'd like to spend everyday up there.
This is our group shot

Elizabeth always likes to take a good picture and then a funny face picture...
Lewis told David that his "look of dissaproval" does not count as a funny face!
Elizabeth also has a favorite game or event or something that David does with her, I don't know what to call it...you could call it being shaken violently but it's not that bad, we should call it the bumpy road game or something.
