A quick six years

Ms. Elizabeth turned the big SIX this week!  My oh my, where did the time go?
All she requested was a water slide so I took it from there.  I attempted my first homemade birthday cake.
I almost threw it away because I thought the layers were way to thin but it turned out just fine because Kate had a motto: More Icing! More Icing!!!

You can see the tiny red layer but no one seemed to complain about the flavor

love this moment that was captured. Elizabeth making her birthday wish, just so darn sweet.

We were unsure of what size slide to get.  Didn't want to get too small, didn't want too big. Personally, I think it was perfect.  Even though it was the first thing you could see when you turned down our street.  It was just big enough to get some screams and scared faces on the way down.

These kids never ever stopped.  It was up and down, repeat.

We made sure these little ones had all kinds of treats.  We had a sno cone machine that Kate mastered and boy did they love those.  Mom let us use her popcorn machine also so there was a constant line to the popcorn and sno cones.  It really is the littlest things that make kids so happy.
Julie and Lucy having some yummy sno cones.

They may be only in kindergarten but they do love their little group.  These four girls hang tight and I do really hope it's the beginning of long friendships.

I had to show off Kate and my handy work.  We made a balloon arch thing to hang at the porch.  It really was super simple and was a group effort.  Lew blew up most the balloons, I put the balloons on dental floss with a needle, Anna Kate took the balloon from me to Kate and Kate clumped them together.  We had a little assembly line going. Elizabeth was a supervisor and check in with all of us.

I can't believe what a big girl my little baby has turn into.
(Lizzy, 4 months)..*sigh*
