Girls on TV

The commercial Elizabeth and AnnaKate took part in about 2 months ago is finally done! Click on the picture below and (hopefully) it will take you to the video.  The girls are almost at the very end but the video is only 30 seconds long so you don't have to wait very long to see them!

We are off to Alaska tomorrow and while I'm going to work very hard to post from the road if you see nothing for two weeks I promise I'll be doing an everyday posting of pictures.  The only worry I have is doing 10 hours on a plane with a 2 and 5 year old...wish us luck!!

Random pieces from the week

Some how I thought the summer would be a little calmer than the regular year everyday stuff...I was very wrong, every week we are running to something else or starting a new project or event.  This week was Elizabeth starting gymnastic with Julie.  They LOVE it. That's about all I can say.   The squealing in the morning when they know they are going is all I can handle.

Anna Kate has discovered the Minnie Mouse dress and spends most days in it.  I can't take a picture without her sticking out her tongue.  When does this phase end?

We were the lucky people chosen to accompany Mandy and David to a stand up paddle (SUP) session on the Halifax River.    All I can say is awesome!!!! It's like standing on a huge surf board and paddling around the river...I love it and I need to win the lottery so I can buy a board.

This is the newest friend to take up residence in our house.  Vampkey the bat.  His is name is part vampire part bat...what we were naming Anna Kate as a joke till he showed up.  He has been flying in and out of our garage for a few days but scared me this morning when he made a dart for the inside of the house.  He didn't make it but came back later on that day so we just try to keep the garage closed.  Sadly I'm less scared of him than the imagined snake I believe lives in our house.

Elizabeth ballet

This is the actual video from her ballet, it was very cute and I LOVE the little girl at the end that waves, cracks me up every time.   A big thank you to Lori for taking the video!

The Tiny Dancer

Well another year has flown by and Miss Elizabeth had another ballet recital. This year the performance was Sleeping Beauty. I did not get to read the synopsis of the story and I'm sorry this is one story that I haven't had a recap of the details of the story for a long time, unlike Beauty and the Beast. So, I was completely lost other than the major obvious events. Elizabeth was a rosebud and performed at the end of the first act. My friend took a wonderful video and I will link it up asap but until then we have these photos.

All I can say is that for as beautiful and wonderful she was during this performance, she is having a Black Swan worthy meltdown upstairs tonight.  I guess maybe she is meant more for drama?
Just in case anyone thinks I'm kidding about Anna Kate and the tounge thing...
These are Anna Kate's ballet poses :)

A new trend

I'm sure this is not new among children but I'm seeing a trend with Anna Kate.
She seems to only want to stick her tounge out at me when taking a picture...
At Lizzy's graduation

Quite possibly my favorite photo and one I plan on showing all future boyfriends.

My little princess and oh yeah, her tounge sticking out

I'm not sure she even thinks about it but yet again there it is!

I'm pretty sure behind the paci she is sticking her tounge out...she just has the pose

So this is the reason I take a billion photos, to get the one really sweet photo when I can make her just smile without sticking her tounge out, gotta love this baby.

And another graduation

We traveled to Statesboro, Ga Memorial Day weekend to see the most wonderful family ever, our adoptive family, the best ever bonus mom and dad with additional sisters and brothers (some also adopted), the Randall's. We came up for our visit to see the smallest of the Randall's, Anna Claire, graduate from high school.  I can't believe that time has gone by so fast.  When we first moved to Statesboro she was in middle school...

The happy graduate

I'm pretty sure all she is thinking about is not falling in her super high shoes....

finding her pretty little face in the crowd...

The four actual biological Randall children...Kate, Cam (I wish he was looking), Claire, Kyle

Lizzy and Claire

Sweet girls

After we finished graduation and lunch we headed back to the house for some swimming and fun.
Love Claire's underwater camera...

Anna Kate going down the slide looking scared as crap...but in the end was super happy.

Nothing is quite right unless we finish with a brushing the hair train...Aunt Cindy was so sweet to let Lizzy brush and brush and brush.
The girls figured out the best spot to be in...this is the place to cook, bake, clean and they were indulged completely.  Life visiting at the Randall's is better than Disney World, there should be a person selling $75 tickets at the front door.  Those are some happy girls.
