Our house has been looking like Halloween since about oh say October 2nd or 3rd. Anna Kate got in the candy bowl that is sort of the holder of all things that get collected during the month of October.
For some reason this year we have lots and lots of rings and I love that Anna Kate feels as if every finger deserves a ring.
AAAAHHHH I'm a monster...(favorite saying at the moment)
This is her artistic pose
Wonderful Aunt Cindy sent a Halloween care package with all kinds of goodies (and sugar) for the girls. I was determined to make the cookies with the girls and decorate so while the cousins were here I thought this was a great time to spread the sugar around.
This is my prep time, no kids involved here. I think it's a great idea in theory but I'm really afriad of boogers and spit and what not getting in there. So this remains kid free for the moment, I'm just more relaxed that way.
So after cookies were cut out and baked we got down to business. I set up each girl with their own plate and plastic knives to cut down on screaming at each other. All Anna Kate wanted to do was get some sprinkles on that cookie.
They ate as much frosting and sprinkles as went on the cookies I think.
Elizabeth entering sugar coma.
Later that night we went to Anna Kate's preschool for their fall festival. It is always super fun and the kids love it. It's small and confined, one bounce house with several rooms set up for making cookies and face painting, some dancing...all the great things for a kid halloween party.
This is my favorite Anna Kate photo right now.
Gillian was a bee also so both bees had to sting Dorothy. I'm just loving the pose here.
Last but not least the two cousins. So adorable. I just taught Elizabeth to start saying "there's no place like home" three times. I'm sure tomorrow night will grant me all the halloween pictures I can handle for the year.
